DeckHost is free to download and free to join any game. These terms cover what you can buy inside it, and how subscriptions renew.

The licence

If you installed DeckHost from the App Store, your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), together with these terms. If you installed it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply to the purchase and these terms to the app. A copy downloaded from this site is licensed to you on these terms alone. Where these terms and the store's terms disagree about a purchase, the store's terms win.

What is free

• Downloading DeckHost, and joining any game another player hosts.
• The Freeplay sandbox, and Snap, Go Fish and Memory, which are free for everyone, permanently.
• One game from the catalogue each week, chosen by us, free for that week.

What you can buy

• A single game or a pack of games — a one-time purchase. You can host what you bought for as long as DeckHost offers it.
• The catalogue subscription, monthly or yearly — every game while the subscription is active, including games added later.

The price is shown in the app, in your currency, before you confirm, and is charged by Apple or Google to the account you buy with. One player owning a game is enough for everyone at the table to play it.

Auto-renewing subscriptions

• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (one month or one year) at the price then shown, unless you turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Your store account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel it at any time in your account settings: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. If a free trial is ever offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
• When a subscription ends, games it unlocked lock again unless you also bought them on their own. Games you bought outright are not affected.

Refunds and restoring purchases

Payments are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are requested from them, under their policies: Apple, Google Play. A refunded purchase stops unlocking its games. To move purchases to a new phone, use Restore purchases in the app while signed in to the same store account.

Playing fair

Online tables are shared with other people. Don't use DeckHost to harass anyone, and don't interfere with the service — for example by flooding our servers, or by trying to see cards you were not dealt. We may end a table or block access that does. Display names are visible to the other players; don't pick one that impersonates someone or that you would not want them to see.

The service

Local, solo and SharePlay games run on your phones. Online play and invitations depend on our servers, which we run as well as we can but cannot promise will always be available; a table can be lost if a server fails. We may change, add or retire games and features.

To the extent the law where you live allows, DeckHost is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

These terms are governed by Swedish law. That does not take away any protection the law of the country where you live gives you as a consumer.

What DeckHost stores and sends is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

If these terms change, the revised version will appear at this address with a new date above. A change does not take away a purchase you have already made.
