DeckHost 1.1.0 · com.addelovein.cardapp

DeckHost has no accounts and collects no personal profile.

Last updated 3 September 2026.

The short version

There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs that transmit data. You are never asked for anything that identifies you — no name is required, no email, no sign-in.

DeckHost plays two ways, and they handle data differently. Local play keeps everything on your own Wi-Fi — nothing reaches us. Online play routes the game through our relay server so people who aren't in the same room can play together; while that game is live, and briefly afterwards, the game state passes through and is temporarily held on that server. The two modes are described below.

Data stored on your device

DeckHost saves the following locally, in your device's own app storage:

Display name

The name you choose to show at a table.

Settings

Theme, haptics, and house rules you pick.

Game in progress

So a game survives closing the app.

Deleting DeckHost removes all of it from your device.

Local play — same room, over Wi-Fi

When you host or join a table on your local network, the phones communicate directly with each other. What travels between them is the game: whose turn it is, which cards have been played, the cards in your own hand, and the display names players chose. This traffic stays on your local network, passes through no server of ours, and reaches no one else. Each player receives only the cards they are entitled to see.

Online play — through our relay

When you choose an online table, the phones connect through the DeckHost relay server (lobby.deckhost.info) so players who aren't together can share the same game. To make that work, the server temporarily holds, for the duration of that game:

Display names

The names players chose for their seats at that table.

Game state

The moves and cards of the game, so a dropped player can rejoin where they left off.

A rejoin token

Stored only as a one-way hash (SHA-256), never in a form we can read back.

There is still no account and no login — a table is nameless, tied only to its room code. This data exists to run the live game and let players reconnect. A table that ends or is abandoned is deleted automatically, and a paused table is kept resumable for at most a few days before it too is removed. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything but running your game.

Data we receive about you

Nothing that identifies you. There is no account, so the relay never holds a name you didn't type for a game, and never an email, phone number, or contact list. The transient game data above is the whole of it, and it is discarded on the schedule described.

If you installed DeckHost from the App Store or TestFlight, Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated statistics such as download counts and crash frequencies. If you installed it from Google Play, or joined a test track there, Google provides the equivalent. In both cases that data comes from the store rather than from the app, cannot identify you, and is governed by that store's own privacy terms.

Purchases

DeckHost is free to download and to join a game. Games you want to host are sold inside the app as one-time purchases (individually or in packs). Those purchases are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play — DeckHost never sees or stores your card number, billing address, or any payment detail. The stores tell the app only whether a given game has been purchased, so it can unlock it.

Children

DeckHost is suitable for all ages and collects no personal profile from anyone, including children.

Permissions the app requests

Local network. Required so the phones at your table can find one another for local play. Online play uses your ordinary internet connection. DeckHost requests nothing else.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will appear at this address with a new date above.
